Introduction Post: About Me

Hi all,
My name is Charlie Cowan. I am a transfer sophomore from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. I grew up in Shorewood, MN, a suburb about 20-25 minutes from Minneapolis. My major at NDSU is Sport Management. I transferred to NDSU, because it is closer to home and I will be able to save a large portion of money attending here. I have a variety of interests, including baseball and disc golf. I had the opportunity to play club baseball at UCCS, which provided a unique experience traveling throughout Colorado and meeting new people. I am also an avid disc golfer. For those who don't know, disc golf is a sport that involves throwing frisbees into a hole with chains attached.

After school, I want to work in PR/Communications for a major or minor league baseball team. It would be great to work for the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks, the local minor league baseball team that has a team on campus! I ran a baseball podcast at UCCS called Runners in Scoring Position, which got nominated for "Best Podcast" by IBS, the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System. My cohost Nate and I covered current baseball news, fun trivia and interviewed current and former baseball players amongst all levels of baseball, from high school to professional.

I am glad I got to share this with all of you for my first post. Have a great Labor Day weekend.
